Donations to Trashi Gomang Buddhist Centre are eligible for a government rebate (of about a third of the amount donated) because Trashi Gomang is a charitable trust.
Please email the trust before making a donation so that everything can be documented and accounted for.
Donations can be made by direct bank deposit to:
Bank: ANZ Newton
Account Name: PP TRASHI GOMANG TRUST
Account Number: 010202 0139879 00
Thank you very much. The benefit of the centre is made possible through such private donations.
Trashi Gomang relies on donations to remain open. Our founder, Khensur Rinpoche, asked that we don’t charge for teachings and we are fortunate to be able to honor him in this. However we do have running costs and a mortgage so support is important. So please do consider making a monthly automatic payment of whatever amount you can afford. It really really helps the Centre to have a regular income to rely on. Please see above for our bank details, and please email us to let us know you have made a donation and if there is something in particular you would like it to go towards. Thank you.
The centre is now seeking to gather funds for various projects. All these are tax deductible donations. A donation however small makes a difference for the Centre.
Trashi Gomang Mortgage
If we can decrease the mortgage, this will decrease the monthly outgoings of the Centre and make its financial status more stable.
The Resident Teacher Support Fund
We have a kind sponsor who has initiated this fund from which the Centre will only use the interest to support Geshe Dhonam. Our Sponsor will also continue to equally match donations to this fund which will double the value of your offering.
Assistant for Geshe Dhonam
To maintain consistent assistance for Geshe Dhonam, we plan to bring his nephew out from India. In order to meet immigration requirements, he will study at a recognised NZ educational institute. The cost of this is currently under research.
Translator’s Fund
Over the years the Centre has had Celia’s services as a translator. The Centre would like to both pay her for her services and to develop a fund to cover future costs of supporting a translator. This fund has had an initial donation of $200 to start it.
We also have items available for purchase at the centre, including fabric cloths, curtains and scarves, prayer flags, incense, etc.
Thank you.
